Abstract


IN THE CONTEXT OF THE MAIN AIMS OF EDUCATION ANALYSIS OF CONCEPTS IN TURKISH EDUCATION LEGISLATION

Educational institutions / schools are organizations with formal and informal characteristics created to achieve predetermined goals. Due to their flexible and multifaceted nature, the conceptual structure of educational institutions has been influenced by many disciplines. Many disciplines have fed the field of education and it can be said that fields such as sociology, psychology, economics, political science and law are influential in the conceptual structure of educational sciences. One of these disciplines is law. This study aims to decipher the philosophical, social and conceptual orientation of legal rules that impact education and its concepts in Turkey. Content analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. In this direction, the legislation in force regarding education was scanned. The basic level ones were selected, and the predominant thematic orientation of educational concepts was revealed through conceptual frequency analysis. Based on the results of the conceptual analysis, three themes, namely academic, socio-cultural and cognitive, were formed deductively. As a result of the research, it was seen that the thematic orientation of the educational legislation is more oriented towards academic achievement.
