Mehmet Emin Resulzâde, who played a pivotal role in Azerbaijan’s struggle for independence, is one of the figures who has left an indelible mark on Turkish history and particularly on Azerbaijan’s political life through his determination, his influence in the forging of national identity, his organisational skills, his love for his homeland and the flag, and his multifaceted personality. This study reveals Resulzâde's historical role in Azerbaijan's struggle for independence and examines how this role is represented in Elçin’s work Məmməd Əmin Rəsulzadə. Thus, the relationship between historical reality and the author's perspective is evaluated. The stages of Azerbaijan's journey to freedom and Mehmet Emin Resulzâde’s scientific, intellectual, political and literary life are addressed based on various sources. Text analysis was preferred in the study, and a historical comparison was made using different sources. The study highlights how Resulzâde’s role in Azerbaijan's struggle for independence is represented in Elçin’s work Məmməd Əmin Rəsulzadə, and the ways in which this representation coincides with or diverges from historical reality.
