RESMÎ TARİHLERDEN HAREKETLE KAVRAM ALANI ÇALIŞMASI: TÂRÎH-İ NAÎMÂ VE TÂRÎH-İ CEVDET

Özet

The concept of field theory in linguistics is grounded in a semantic approach and refers to a group of words derived from the same root, known as a word family. Within this field, semantic relations such as similarity, close meaning, and synonymy function as the main principles structuring the conceptual set. Accordingly, a conceptual field can be defined as a linguistic framework examining relationships among words within the same lexical family and the scope of that family. In this study, a conceptual field analysis was conducted on historical texts written by two official historians whose works were composed approximately a century and a half apart. The corpus, defined by selection, includes the “Faide” and “Fasl-ı Evvel” sections of the first volume of Târîh-i Na’îmâ and the “Fasl-ı Evvel” and “Fasl-ı Sânî” sections of Târîh-i Cevdet. The study presents a comparative conceptual field analysis based on Ahmet Cevdet Pasha’s Târîh-i Cevdet.
