KÜLTÜREL MİRASIN AKTARIMI BAĞLAMINDA MAĞCAN CUMABAYULI'NIN ŞİİRLERİNDE KÜLTÜREL UNSURLAR

Özet

Culture is the essence and identity of a nation. Nations can preserve their existence on the stage of history through culture, which encompasses the entirety of their material and spiritual productions. The corruption of culture and the loss of cultural values inevitably lead to subjugation under the influence of other cultures. For this reason, preserving cultural values and transmitting cultural codes to future generations is of great importance. Cultural transmission can be carried out through various means. One of these means is the transmission and modernization of cultural values through art and literature. The incorporation of cultural values into modern literary genres such as poetry, novels, and tales, as well as the integration of traditional narratives enriched with cultural memory through techniques like collage, montage, and epigraph, ensures the vitality of culture while also facilitating its transmission to future generations. The renowned intellectual and poet of the Kazakh Turks, Magjan Jumabayev, addressed themes related to Turkish culture in general and specifically to the culture of the Kazakh Turks in his poetry. His poems explore various aspects of the belief system and cultural world of the Kazakh Turks, including themes such as the “mountain cult”, “forest cult”, “mythological animals and birds”, “dream-related beliefs”, “kam / baksy tradition”, “beliefs about good and bad omens”, “beliefs about supernatural beings”, “blessings and curses”, “oaths”, “hunt and hunting”, “beliefs surrounding transitional periods”, and the “faith in destiny / fate”. In addition, traditional musical instruments, as well as oral tradition products such as legends, lullabies, and proverbs, along with themes related to the sociocultural life, worldview, and patriotism of the Kazakh Turks, are also present in his poetry. This study identifies and analyzes the cultural elements present in the poetry of Magjan Jumabayev.
