SOCIOLOGIC DIMENSIONS OF THE NOVEL “THE DEVLET ANA”
The novel Devlet Ana, which tells the process of sociological founding during the transition of a small government like Kayı into an empire that hold do minion over the world, reflects that era’s social and political life. Also a life style, customs and traditions that are known as Ottoman and contributions of social organizations like Ahi during the transition of a government into a state and a tribe into a nation take place in the novel. The novel is important how Kemal Tahir uses history making during the writing novel. Kemal Tahir looks for alternatives solutions for this problem because he can’t be oblivious to social problems because of his artist modalities .According to Kemal Tahir, history is one of the richest of these alternative solutions because problems that occur in the history, again works out in the history by being considered at length.
Kemal Tahir, who save Turkish readers from inferiority complex against West with the novel Devlet Ana, which civilizations’ conflict is told makes an analogy between “righteous” and “gracious” state comprehension in the nature of Turkish society and colonizer polity in the West.
