Abstract
EDUCATION SUPERVISION IN GRADUATE DISSERTATIONS IN TURKEY
This study has focused on the permitted dissertations which have been done at the graduate level in the Education Supervision area between the years 2006-2014 and which have been obtained by using key words “inspection” and supervision” at the National Dissertation Centre. The required data has been collected ( the university where it was done, institution, department, type, subject, supervisor’s degree, method, data collection tools, samples) according to the criteria which was determined at the study. Total 76 graduate dissertations have been examined. It was seen that, 50 of them were done at the social science institute and 26 of them were done at the educational science institute, 8 of them were doctoral dissertations and 68 of them were master thesis. To analize data, content analysis technique has been used. In the light of this study the fundamental conclusion is, the studies of education supervision area isn’t at the sufficent level and it needs to be improved.
