Abstract
CAN -IcI BE A NON-STANDARD FUTURE TENSE SUFFIX IN THE OLD ANATOLIAN TURKISH?
Turks who produced literary works in Anadolu since the 13th century, it is observed that, there was no unity in their written language at these dates. Until the birth of Ottoman Turkish as a written language, it is considered normal to have features of various dialects in Old Anatolian Turkish written language.
Today maintained its presence in Turkey Turkish, -IcI future tense suffix is one of the non-standardized element of language. In this study, we focused on the first examples of this suffix that we could define, seen in the Old Anatolian Turkish Quran Translation (TIEM 40). For this purpose, first of all, information was given about the origin of the suffix -IcI, and it's examples from Turkey Turkish dialects. After that, historical witnesses of the supplement, which is thought to have continued its existence as a future tense supplement, have been brought to attention.
