BIBLIOGRAPHY OF STUDIES PUBLISHED ON THE MANAS EPIC IN TURKEY (1934 - 2014)
In Turkey about the Manas Epic that is the longest epic in the world as far as we can detect more than 360 studies have been published in 80 years in Turkey. 299 of them consists of scientific papers. 43 books and most book chapters has published about Manas Epic in Turkey. Until today in Turkey 20 thesis has defended successfully. The first article about the Manas Epic and the first thesis has been prepared in 1934. Turkish scientists for many years benefit from the writing of Radlov about the Manas Epic. Abdülkadir İnan has great support in the promotion of Manas Epic in Turkey. The first book printed in 1972 about Manas Epic in Turkey and began running article-related to the epic in the encyclopedia. Became independent to Kyrgyz Republic in 1990 and in 1995 the Manas Epic’s 1000 Year celebrations a reeled to the explosion of publications about the epic in Turkey.
