Abstract


ANALYSIS OF THE STUDY IN TURKEY IN SOCIAL SCIENCE EDUCATION: A META SYNTHESES
Meta-synthesis, also known as meta-analysis of qualitative, is also known as synthesizing synthesis. Meta-synthesis is a method used to make a general evaluation and interpretation by considering the studies on the same or similar subjects with a qualitative understanding and a critical approach, to obtain different and original ideas and to express the facts more clearly. In this study, Turkey was investigated by using social studies education associated with the 6th and 7th grades especially secondary and meta-synthesis methods well-thesis of the article; In addition, such research has been tried to determine the tendency of Social Studies education. In this research, 9 articles and 21 theses studied between 2008-2019 were examined and a total of 30 studies were examined. TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, Higher Education Institution (YÖK) national thesis screening center, Google Scholar search engine and Dergipark databases were used to determine the studies to be included in the research. In order to keep the validity and reliability level at the desired level, the research questions and the purpose of the study are presented clearly. The data obtained from the research were analyzed in terms of the objectives, methods used, sample groups, data collection tools and the results obtained in the study. The collected data were interpreted through frequency and tables. In the 30 studies examined; Social Studies course and workbook, teacher's guide book, Social Studies Education Program, Social Studies education and teachers' perceptions of issues such as emphasis on the issues identified in these issues, and identified a number of deficiencies were found to be offered suggestions.
