Abstract
OLIVE IN KİLİS FOLK CULTURE
One of the trees that has an important place in Turkish culture and belief is olive tree. The olive tree is a nutrient-rich foodstuff with its fruit and fruit. The ability to withstand harsh climatic conditions and to live for many years has encouraged the production of this tree in the geographies where it is grown. Located in the Hilal region, Kilis has a respectable place in olive cultivation because of its climate and soil structure.
The point of attention in olive tree is that it has formed a certain cultural environment around it. The effects of olive and olive trees around the culture of this culture have influenced folk literature. When we look at the Kilis region we have studied, the olive and olive tree has created a folk culture around itself.
