Abstract
A MISWRITING MAKES tutu, tut; A MISREADING MAKES bet, bit
One of the problems reading Dede Korkut's texts is misspelled words; another is about same spelling but different meaning words. When we face to both problems, to act according to context guide provides us to understand word correctly and to solve problem about text. Besides, to understand context and insisting on understanding direct us regarding reading and understanding words. However, the point that should not be forgotten when new reading offers is presented is to predict questions that can be directed to us regarding our offers.
Handled reading problems in this paper is about proverb read “Eski tutuŋ / tonuŋ biti, öksüz oglanuŋ dili acı olur’ in the Öşün Koca Oğlu Segrek Boyu chapter of Dresden copy. Two words in proverb that read tut / ton ‘dut / giysi’, bit ‘bit’ are read and evaluate in a paper which published in the previous issue of Teke Jurnal.
In this paper, it is evaluated and offered by new explanations about point at issue proverb’s reading and understanding problems.
