Abstract
II. Meşrutiyet Dönemi’nde, İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyetinin iktidarı elde etmesinin neticesinde oluşan geçici özgürlük havasının etkisiyle oldukça fazla edebî eser kaleme alınmıştır. Bu eserlerden biri olan “Jönler”, yazarı Bekir Fahri’nin Jön Türkler hareketine mensup olması dolayısıyla o yılları anlatan bir eserdir. Uzun zaman bir köşede kalmış olan bu eserin bir diğer yönü ise oryantalizmin dönem insanı üzerindeki etkisini yansıtmasıdır. Zira Batılıların, Doğuya hâkim olabilmek için oluşturmak istedikleri algı şeklinde tanımlanabilecek olan oryantalizm, yıllarca etkili olmuş ve hâlâ olmaktadır. Eserler üzerinde bu açıdan yapılan/yapılacak incelemeler, toplumun aynası hükmündeki yazarların bilerek veya bilmeden oryantalizmden ne kadar etkilendiklerini ve eserlerine bunu ne kadar yansıttıklarını ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Bu çalışmada da “Jönler” romanı bu bakış açısıyla ele alınmış ve eserde oryantalizm izleri aranmıştır.

Özet
In the period of Meşrutiyet II., with the effect of free atmosphere created by the success of İttihat and Terakki community, many literary works were penned. One of the works, namely “Jönler” is a novel because the writer, Bekir Fahri, a member of Jön Türkler movement. Another aspect of the work to which only a little attention paid is that it reflects the effect of Orientalism on people. Orientalism can be defined as the sense that western world tried to create in order to dominate east and it has been effective over years. The analysis conducted with this regard on the literary works reveals to much extant the writers, who are the mirrors of society, were affected consciously or unconsciously and to much extant they reflected it on their works. In the present study, the novel “Jönler” has been focused on with this regard and the traces of Orientalism have been looked for.
