Kültür, insan topluluklarını yığın olmaktan kurtaran ve bu topluluklara millet olma özelliği kazandırarak bu milletleri güçlü bağlarla bir arada tutan maddi ve manevi değerlerin toplamıdır. Türkçe dersi Türk dilinin ve kültürünün aktarımı açısından anahtar bir role sahiptir. Bir toplumun paylaştığı kültürel ögeler ne kadar fazlaysa ortak bir paydada buluşmaları o kadar kolay olur. Birlik ve beraberliğin temelini ortak yaşanmışlıklar yani kültürel birikimler meydana getirmektedir. Aynı tarihsel birikime sahip, ortak gelenek ve görenekten gelen bireylerin ait oldukları toplum için birlikte hareket etmesi, kenetlenmesi, birlik ve beraberlik şuuru taşıması aynı kültürel değerlere sahip olmalarından ileri gelmektedir. Kültürün taşıyıcısının ana dil olduğu gerçeğinden hareketle Türkçe dersinin ve Türkçe ders kitaplarının bu bilinçle hazırlanması gerekmektedir. Tüm bunlar dikkate alınarak Türkçe ders kitaplarının kültürel çeşitliliği aktarma yeterliliği ve düzeyi araştırılması gereken önemli bir konudur. Araştırma nitel durum çalışması şeklinde desenlenmiştir. Veriler doküman incelemesi yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde ise nitel analiz tekniklerinden betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır.

Culture is the total of the material and intangible values that save human communities from being a mass and hold these nations together with strong ties by giving them the characteristic of being a nation. Turkish lesson has a key role in terms of the transmission of Turkish language and culture. The more cultural elements a society shares, the easier it is for them to meet on a common interest. Common experiences, in other words, cultural accumulations generate the basis of unity and togetherness. The fact that individuals with the same historical background, coming from common traditions and customs act together for the society they belong to, stick together, and have a consciousness of unity and togetherness is due to the fact that they have the same cultural values. Considering the fact that the carrier of culture is the mother tongue, Turkish lesson and Turkish textbooks should be prepared with this awareness. Taking all these into consideration, the sufficiency and level of Turkish textbooks in conveying cultural diversity is an important issue that needs to be investigated. The research was designed as a qualitative case study. Data were collected by document review method. In the evaluation of the data, descriptive analysis, one of the qualitative analysis techniques, was used.
