Abstract
Geçmişten günümüze edebiyat biliminin tarihî seyri içerisinde en çok değişime uğrayan edebî türlerden biri; geleneksel adıyla ‘hikâye’ modern ve yaygın kullanılan ismiyle ‘öykü’, ‘kısa öykü’ olmuştur. Sözlü gelenekten yazılı geleneğe buradan modern yeni görünümüne geçişi sürecinde daha çok içerik, gerçeklik, kahraman, mekân gibi unsurlarla değişimini başlatan hikâye / öykü günümüzde dilsel, anlamsal, yapısal, yaratıcı / sıra dışı örnekleri ile deneysellik macerasını sürdürmektedir. Bu çalışmada hikâye türünün edebiyat tarihi içindeki değişimi üzerinden başlangıçtaki ilk örnekler, günümüzde vardığı yeni görünümünü hazırlayan durumlar ve çağdaş öykünün deneysel cesur girişimlerle ürün verme noktasında kat ettiği yol anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır.

Özet
Alongside the history of turkish literature short story, which is called narrative traditionally or story recently, has been the most changing genre sofar. Story or narrative has led to a great change during the history from oral to written tradition as well as from classic to modern structure. The change of story has started with its content validity, characters and locations. Today it goes on its adventure with the different examples of linguistics, semantics, structures, creations and extra ordinary elements. This study aims to explain the changes in the genre of narrative in the history by analysing the first examples of short story in the past, showing the situations led to the modern changes and claiming the efforts of empirical attitudes in the contemporary short story.
