TELHÎSÜ'L-MİFTÂH'IN BEYÂN BÖLÜMÜNÜN MÜTERCİMİ BİLİNMEYEN BİR TERCÜMESİ

Özet

Khatib al-Qazvini's famous work about rhetoric, Telhîsü'l-Miftâh, has been one of the fundamental sources of scholars interested in rhetoric since it was written. This work, which was written in Arabic, has been translated into various languages for the benefit more people. One of these languages is Turkish; the translation process of Telhîsü'l-Miftâh into Turkish started during Ottoman era and continues up to the present. Various studies have been done on the Turkish translations of Telhîsü'l-Miftâh. This study focuses on a translated version of Telhis about which no scientific study has been done yet. This version only consists of the translations of the parts which deal with beyân in Telhîsü'l-Miftâh. There is no available information about where, when or by whom this translation was made. Only one copy of this translation is extant. In the introduction section of the study, the historical development of rhetoric is briefly mentioned. The next section describes the aforementioned copy of the work. This is followed by information and discussion regarding the translation, content, style and orthography of the work. The last section includes the transcript of the work.
