EXAMINATION OF EFLATUN CEM GÜNEY STORY IN THE CONTEXT OF SENSITIVITY EDUCATION

Abstract

In this research, it is aimed to examine the tales of Eflatun Cem Güney in the context of sensitivity education. Qualitative research method was used in the research because the data obtained from the works of Eflatun Cem Güney were interpreted and evaluated with a qualitative approach. In the process of examining the data, document analysis was used. The data obtained in the research were analyzed using the descriptive analysis method. Eflatun Cem Güney's 20 tales constitute the material of this research. Sensitivity Category Form was used as a data collection tool in the research. As a result, it has been seen that the sensitivities in the works are suitable for children's world of meaning. Except for 4 of the 35 sensitivity issues identified, the others were detected in different amounts of works. In this direction, it has been determined that the works examined are rich in terms of sensitivity issues. It has been concluded that these works can raise awareness about sensitivity in the readers. It is thought that the richness of Eflatun Cem Güney's works in terms of sensitivity will contribute to the development of children. In this period when children's love and habit of reading books is formed, it is important for their personality and moral development to meet these works that contain correct messages and are very rich in sensitivity.
