KUZEY MAKEDONYA İŞTİP AĞZINDA KULLANILAN TÜRKİZMALAR

Özet

In history, the expeditions and migrations from Asia to Europe opened the door of new geographies to the Turks and made Turkish a world language. Our ancestors, who went to Europe with wars and conquests for many years, established a new civilization in the places they went. One of these areas of civilization is the Balkans. Before the Ottoman Empire conquered and dominated the region, the Avars, Uzs, Pechenegs and Cuman Turks came to the region. For this reason, it was earlier for the region to meet the Turks and the Turkish language.

The domination of the Ottoman Empire in the region for up to five centuries made Turkish the language of culture in the Balkans. Today, Turkish culture and Turkish language still maintain their vitality in the Balkans. A large number of words have been transferred from Turkish to Balkan languages. Serbian is one of the languages in which Turkish gives the most words with approximately 7500-8000 words. Today, there are many Turkish words in Macedonian.

In this study, Turkisms used in spoken language in the city of Shtip (Štip), which is located within the borders of today's North Macedonia from the states under the administration of the Former Yugoslav Republic, will be classified according to their areas of use.
