Özet

The United Nations Educational Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO), after World War II, developed a program to protect the cultures facing the danger of extinction against globalization and popular culture, to transfer them to future generations and to make them live. In recommendation decision of 1989, South Korea’s people attracted attention to the people of the system of Living Human Treasures emerged. The expression of master person defines people with high knowledge and skills who create the elements of intangible cultural heritage. In this way, the masters, who are the producers of the intangible cultural heritage, have been prevented by taken to the center. In Turkey since 2008, thirty people being master in a variety of traditional arts and crafts such as âşık, karagöz, çini, keçe, kispet, entered the National List of Living Human Treasures. Ahmet Güldür who has been practicing the tree model home made art in Bartın, has been continuing his profession for twenty years. He transfers her traditional knowledge and experience to her apprentices. It also contributes to the preservation and transmission of urban memory with model houses. In this article, the life and art of tree model master Ahmet Güldür was evaluated in the context of Living Human Treasures and it was determined that he fulfilled all the conditions for entering national list.
