Turkic tribes and societies have a common language, history, culture and civilization of thousands of years old. However, Turkic tribes and societies have had to leave the geographies they lived together due to different reasons in the process of history. Common values (nationality, language, religion, history, culture…) have an important role in the solidarist cohabitation of Turkic tribes and societies for hundreds of years; while drifting apart from the said values is one of the main reasons for the disintegration of these tribes and societies. Developing and changing conditions of the regions Turks inhabit and the world necessitate the coming together of the Turks on the basis of common values and interests and formation of meaningful unions. In this context, Turkic states, tribes and societies can establish a union very similar to the European Union (“Union of the Turkic World” / “Turkic Union”) and a citizenship similar to the European Union (“Citizenship of the Turkic World). It is of course possible to evolve the said Union into “Asian Union” with the participation of regional countries (Russia, China, Korea, Japan, Mongolia, India, Iran, Georgia…) in the forthcoming process and the citizenship into “Citizenship of the Asian World”. In this article, Citizenship of the Turkic World, the importance and benefits of the Citizenship of the Turkic World from the perspective of the Turkic World and regional countries are highlighted.
