“Dramatik Literature” genre stepped in Turkish culture after Tanzimat (Reformation Period) in fact, it was not in the Western style in the theater. Turkish audience met the need for theater with Meddah, Ortaoyunu, Shadow Theater (Karagöz), Puppet Theater and other dramatic genres called “temaşa sanatı” it is possible to say that the Turks are a very rich traditional theater. The art of theater, which started to enter the Turkish culture from the 19th century, and therefore dramatic literature, brought its own language. In this work, it is aimed to draw attention to the terms and expressions of dramatic literature rather than of the manguage of theater art. This language, which entered dramatic literature during the Tanzimat period requires a separate study. Such a study will explain thi changing codes of our lives and our culture.
