URMEVÎ’NİN TEZKİRE-İ HAZRET-İ BABA ADLI ESERİNDE HİLYE-İ ŞERÎF BÖLÜMÜ

Özet

In Dewan poetry, a lot of works were written about birth, moral life style, personality and death of the Prophet Muhammad. The works about His life were written as an independent work or author wrote a chapter of his work about the Prophet Muhammad’s miracles or qualifications in some forms of verse. That Turkish people embraced Islam brought many reforms both as form and content in many fields of their lives like their arts and especially their literature. Hilye is one of these revolutions that took its place as a literary genre in the literature history. The Prophet Muhammed’s behaviours, attitudes and His mubarak features are described in hilye where the first samples of Islamic Literature were written in Arabic. Therefore, in Turkish- Islamic culture and civilization, love for the Prophet Muhammed was expressed by means of hilye besides other genres. Poets and authors wrote texts in poetic, prose or mixed poetic-prose form about His physical features. This situation contributed the different contentful works to varieties of literature. In this paper, some information about hilye as a genre, the place of hilye in Turkish Literature, its historical development and some major hilye in Turkish literature will be given. After that, author’s life will be mentioned, his hilye will be examined in terms of form and content and its transcript will be provided.
