Özet
The vocabulary of a language includes the proverbs, idioms, reduplications, model words and various expressive structures beside the other words in that language. The reduplications found in vocabulary are significant elements of the language of which it is a part.
Turkish is one of the richest languages among world languages in terms of reduplications. Turkish is a unique language for including many reduplications in its dialects and subdialects since the time of its earliest written texts.
In this study, the reduplications that exist in the subdialects of Azerbaijan Turkish and the ones that are observed out of written language will be examined. Based on the two volume-book of Azerbaycan Dialektoloji Lüğeti that is about the subdialects of Azerbaijan Turkish, tens of reduplication examples taken from that dictionary such as Ayın-Şayın, Bėytin-Bėytin, Buruz-Buruz, Dirėt-Dirėt, Elefsın-Bılafsın, Hendir-Hamar, Kıtıl-Kıtıl, Lapdan-Lapa, Pay-Ruş, Pese-Püse, Şüley-Şüley, Tırış-Fırış, Üçem-Üçem, Yallı-Yapallı, Zidin-Zidin will be evaluated in terms of both word type and word structure.
